Next month will see alterations to operator timetables across the rail industry, seeing increased services and capacity.
TransPennine Express (TPE) is part of this alteration, which starts on the 14th December.
An extra 2,000 seats will be added on the East Coast Main Line, with eight services between Newcastle and Edinburgh each day and a commuter-friendly arrival time.
The South route will see most Sunday services operating with six carriages, increasing overall weekend capacity. The 8:09 am services between Sheffield and Liverpool Lime Street will also make additional stops.
Some earlier morning services and late-night services will also run elsewhere.
A significant boost will be given to the Hull to Liverpool Lime Street route, seeing an extra 3,500 seats each week.
Customers can now check before travelling to see what alterations have been made to their routes.
“While the majority of our services remain the same, we’d encourage customers to double-check any regular journeys they make.
“We’re pleased to be introducing improvements that offer customers more choice, greater flexibility, and a better experience when travelling with us.”
