ScotRail is encouraging football fans to travel by train to Hampden Park for Scotland’s World Cup Qualifying matches.

On the 9th October at 19:45, Greece is being hosted by the national team and will also see a visit from Belarus at 5 pm on the 12th October.

To aid people in getting to and from the matches, there will be additional services and extra carriages, which will run between Mount Florida and Glasgow Central.

Customers are advised to allow extra time while travelling and should be aware that queuing systems will be in place at both stations.

Customers should buy tickets in advance and head back to Mount Florida as soon as the match finishes.

Tickets can be bought online, on the ScotRail app, at self-service ticket machines and at ticket offices.

“We’re really looking forward to helping fans travel to Hampden Park to cheer on the men’s national team in this week’s World Cup Qualifying matches.

“To help make their journey as seamless as possible, we’ll be adding more seats and extra services to and from Mount Florida – before and after both matches.

“Mount Florida station is only a short walk from the stadium, making travel with ScotRail a convenient, reliable, and green way to get to the game.

“Fans attending the match should plan ahead, allow some extra time for their journey, and buy their return tickets in advance.”
