Visited East Lancs Railway today at the Legends of Steam 2 event. Although it was disappointing that the visit of 60163 Tornado was cancelled its replacement was a bonus for me because I haven’t seen 61306 Mayflower before. Belated Happy New Year, everyone! The attached photos are from Boxing Day on the East Lancs Railway. As night began to fall there were very atmospheric scenes at Heywood station. Battle of Britain Class 34081 – 92 Squadron was rostered for the “Mince Pie Special.” The East Lancs Railway is 34081’s new home previously being located at Nene Valley Railway.
