It’s on the Railway Herald site with no details.

I was at ELR, but skipper duties meant I had to leave early, but caught Mayflower at Astley.

Given the limited use of Tornado recently I am not really surprised. Perhaps ELR will be able to book Blue Peter?

Blue Peter went through Golbourne last week, it appeared to be pushed via the Diesels, it’s sad bit at least the. Engines are appearing. With luck the weather will reset to wet and normal soon, and we will see normal service resumed.

I couldn’t agree more. The last couple of years has seen Flying Scotsman, Royal Scot, and Bahamas featured at this gala. The lack of a named visitor will definitely hit the visitor numbers. I also agree with the shuttle issue, the line already has a liberal view to timetable accuracy and the shuttle does appear to add to that problem.
In addition, I am supporting my wife, whose choir is performing in the Ramsbotton Music Festival on the Saturday, I have booked a table overlooking the station for the meal after the performance, and was looking forward to watching Tornado from this unusual angle, but obviously it will still be a good view.
