We leave an estimated 500, million barrels of oil in just one of our North sea oil fields (The Rosebank field) Yet haul our daily oil need half way round the world in huge Ocean going tankers, burning a frightening Carbon footprint in their comings and goings? So with our countries only 26 day reserve, then we must Commandeer the Heritage steam fleet and decide on Clan Line, Duchess of Sutherland, Royal Scot, Etc, Etc, Etc for our Southern links to the North! All stoppers of course! (No fuel for road traffic)? No power to feed Batteries either? Well I bag’s the 2Mt Ivatt for busy Branch line work! Plus a female fireman or Driver to help me cope! For as long as I can throw a coupling and splice the lugs of the vacuum pipes! With some Led Zepplin music in the cab to give us some Zipp! It shouldn’t take long to pump out a retired Coalmine? I know everyone above management would want us to import our Coal from Poland or America? They do love to pollute the Earths skies, for the very birds to fall from the heavens as the raindrops try to ingest the atmospheric Carbon of fuels transportation exhaust fumes alone! When we have so much Coal down under our feet! We should be given (One) Solar panel for every roof in the land! You could get a good shower per day? Plus feed the national grid! And combined would create ‘One Massive’ Sun or light powered unit, To inspire the trend to be called the ”Heritage Way”, (We transport the people) Now the ”Sun”!! – (Lol)
