I often think that maybe I write too much! Maybe (Other Adventures) could be separate from the main Rail page of photo’s? I only write of my broken ceiling pull cord light switches in two of my bedrooms? One broke and the other faulty! The electrician wanted £210 quid to replace? Some crazy prices these days? So I bought two switches for £15 quid and did it myself after watching others do it on YouTube! It all went pretty smoothly, But I think back to my £3-10 shillings weekly wage for cleaning great big steam engines! And the 15/- shillings extra for a days firing turn as a passed cleaner and I near faint when quoted over £200 quid for such a small job! I would of felt compelled to charge him 10 pence for the teabag, If he wanted a cup of tea while here? And the changeover from gas lighting long ago was quite daunting, To todays = Let there be light! And it was so.
