Saturday 25th October. Having missed going out to see the RTC tour heading to Chester earlier in the day, I popped up to Helsby to see Eddystone plus support coach heading up to Carnforth. After long delays getting away from Chester it finally came through some 56 minutes late. Here are some pics as Eddystone approaches Helsby and passes through at a leisurely pace. A fine looking loco – personally I much prefer the West Country class without the air smoothing.
