No steam and Mk2 coaches….hardly what WCR advertise on their website
I am heading to Edinburgh on Thursday, and had plans to divert and shoot the Scarborough near Skipton. I watched as the ‘available’ locomotives disappeared, and though this may happen. Very sad, but even worse for the passengers expecting a steam loco.
I agree I had plans to visit locations near to Scarborough. But now sadly this will not happen. I am not against diesel locomotives but steam always looks nicer. Shame it wasn’t going to be a nice diesel loco that would also attract the crowds. I think a few people travelling will be unhappy.
Update: 45212 now unavailable. Now confirmed to be hauled by a heritage diesel.
Do you know what Diesel locomotive will be hauling it?
Rumoured to be 37706 and 47832 on the rear. However, Railway Herald have listed it as Class 47/57.
