Model railway maker Bachmann has announced additions to its Graham Farish N Scale models of Class 20 diesel locomotives.
Modifications have been made to take account of differences in the locomotives originally built for use in Scotland. These had large cab-side windows and a recess for a single-line token catcher.

A new chassis has also been developed with a repositioned gearbox and now incorporates a speaker and a Next18 DCC decoder socket, enabling SOUND FITTED models to be produced.

The new release of these Class 20s will be specifically aimed at Class 20s as used in Scotland, and include:
- Two versions in BR Green, one with and one without a tablet catcher.
- Two BR Blue locomotives, both with tablet catcher recesses.
- Two locomotives with the iconic ‘Red Stripe’ livery of BR Railfreight. When these were reliveried, their tablet catcher recesses were plated over, but they retained the larger cab-side windows.
Delivery of the new models is due later this year for £169.95 or £279.95 for SOUND FITTED versions.
Due for delivery early this year are N Scale models of Great Western Railway (GWR) Unmodified and Modified Hall Class 4-6-0s, while added to its N Scale range last year were four Class 47s, two in original British Railways (BR) Green and two in the later BR Blue.
