The Severn Valley Railway (SVR) has announced Class 56 No. 56097 will join the line-up for their Spring Diesel Festival.
About 56097
Despite the vast number of class 56 locomotives still running, there are only 3 technically classed as preserved, which includes 56097.
56097 currently is based at the Great Central Railway Nottingham, where it hauls trains along the line.
It also carries Railfreight Triple Grey (Coal Sector) as its livery.
Spring Diesel Gala
Through both home fleet and visiting locomotives, the Spring Diesel Festival has something for every diesel enthusiast, with its huge range of engines.
Many of guests have been selected due to a large number of people requesting to see certain engines at the festival.
