Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways (FFWHR) are gearing up for the 2026 visitor season. As part of their preparations, the heritage railway is inviting prospective team members to explore a variety of roles at an upcoming February Jobs Fair.

Visitors will have the opportunity to meet the railway’s dedicated and friendly team, learn about the available positions, and gain an insight into working on one of the top, award-winning, narrow-gauge railways in the UK.

Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways are recruiting for a plethora of seasonal roles, including Bartenders, Food and Beverage staff, Retail, On-Train Stewards, Carriage Cleaners, and Meet and Greet Hosts, among other customer-facing roles.

In addition to opportunities for seasonal work, a limited number of permanent, full-time roles are available. This includes Head Chef at Spooner’s, Permanent Way Supervisor, and opportunities across several other departments.

With the new season approaching, Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways encourage anyone interested in joining the passionate and hard-working community keeping the railway alive to attend.

The event takes place on Monday, 23 February, between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM at Spooner’s Bar, Harbour Station, Porthmadog, LL49 9NF.
