Following the success of last year’s Festival of Rail, Dovetail Games is holding a Festival of Rail for Train Sim World players starting on Thursday, 5th February, featuring a succession of Train Sim World 6 remasters.

Among the reveals will be a remastered Great Western Express to be released on Friday, 6th February, a remastered Schnellfahrstrecke Köln-Aachen later this month, and the announcement of a remastered East Coastway.

For Train Simulator Classic players, a Train Sim World February 2026 Roadmap is coming next week, and there will be a first look at Metro Rivals: New York – New Dev Blog & Gameplay.

The remastered Great Western Express has new timetables, including a new 2017 timetable with 4,674 services, of which 1,335 are playable, and full London Underground and Heathrow Connect timetables.

It also includes new stations with full London Underground branding at Royal Oak and Westbourne Park, and new London Underground platforms at Ealing Broadway.

Next is a remastered Schnellfahrstrecke Köln-Aachen, which includes improved lighting, rendering, vegetation, displays, and signalling. There are also updates to trains, including BR 442 (Talent2), BR 406 (ICE3M), and BR 423 (S-Bahn Köln).

A remastered East Coastway is also coming soon, with help from Grump Dog Games and Rivet Games team. The remastering will uplift the route to the latest TSW6 standards, including TOD4, passenger announcements, and train faults, and help support the impending Class 171 & 377/3 pack. Among the improvements are ToD 4 lighting upgrades, adding the Newhaven Marine station, opening Lovers Walk Depot, and updating the yard area around Eastbourne and the depot and yard areas around Brighton station.
