The Gwili Railway was the first standard-gauge preserved railway to operate in South West Wales when it reopened a one-mile section of line from Carmarthen to Llanpumsaint. It has now extended operations to Danycoed and has aspirations to reach Llanpumsaint. Unlike most heritage railways, the Gwili Railway mostly represents local industrial and wartime operations
