On Wednesday, 11th March 2026, Saphos Trains is making a limited number of seats available on ‘The Positioning Move (2)’, an empty stock train between Crewe and London Euston.

The train runs from Crewe to Euston to provide stock for the Deltic Express, operating from London Euston and Milton Keynes Central to Crewe. A Saphos Trains AC electric locomotive will provide haulage power.

Departure time from Crewe is at 03:30, with an arrival in London Euston at 06:30. The return journey will depart from Crewe at 23:55 and arrive back at Crewe at 03:00 on Thursday, 12th March. It should be noted that those times are approximate.

First Class tickets are from £75, with seating at tables for two or four passengers, and Standard Class tickets are from £50, at tables for four passengers. Both classes are non-dining, and the train has no Buffet Car facilities.

The accommodation may not be suitable for passengers with mobility issues or who need to use a wheelchair.

Also running on Wednesday, 11th March 2026, will be Saphos Trains’ Cumbrian Mountaineer rail tour from Crewe to Carlisle, hauled by London & North Eastern Railway A4 Class Pacific No. 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley.
