Passengers will be able to save over 50% on advance and off-peak train tickets in January as the Great British Rail Sale returns for another year.

The discounted travel can take place between the 13th January and 25th March 2026.

Nearly all train operators are taking part in the sale, which will run from the 6th to the 12th January 2026.

Some example fares see tickets between Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Airport slashed to just £1.20, and fares between Portsmouth and London Waterloo down to £10, saving passengers 59%.

The Rail Sale is now in its fourth year, with last year seeing more than 1 million tickets bought, generating over £9m for the industry.
