Avanti West Coast has launched a Customer and Communities Improvement Fund, which is now open for applications.

This is the sixth time they have launched the fund, which invites communities and charities to apply for funding for a range of projects.

Those within three miles of stations on the West Coast Main Line are invited to submit applications for projects which will be carried out over one year.

They are looking for any applications, especially ones which focus on improving stations, bringing communities together, and making rail travel more accessible for vulnerable or hard-to-reach parts of the community.

Those applying should also consider sustainability in their applications.

The applications close on the 9th January at 23:59.

Those wanting to apply can do so on their website.

“Our Customer and Communities Improvement Fund gives those along the West Coast Main Line the opportunity to shape how the railway benefits local communities. By investing and supporting community projects, we aim to bring positive change across our route.

“We would love our customers, stakeholders and local groups to apply for funding, so we can help deliver initiatives that matter most to the people and places we serve.”

Joanna Buckley, Community Manager at Avanti West Coast
