The Wensleydale Railway is celebrating National Curry Week in October with a curry train.

The special train will offer authentic Indian cuisine from The Green Apple Tree Indian Restaurant.

Passengers can enjoy a scenic journey and tasty food on the railway’s heritage carriages.

The train will offer a three-course meal including a vegetarian option, and will cost £45 per person.

The train will be diesel-hauled and will depart at 6:30 pm on the 6th October from Leeming Bar station.

Tickets for the event are limited and must be booked in advance, with dietary requirements and allergies specified in the booking.

Further information on the train and booking can be found here.

“This will be the first time that we have held an Indian curry train event at our railway. We ran an Indian afternoon tea train service in May this year, and it proved very popular with our customers. We received great feedback from the event and a lot of enquiries asking when we would offer another Indian food train experience. We therefore anticipate high demand for this curry train and have already sold over 50% of the available seats.”
