Details for Train Sim World 6 have been announced by Dovetail Games during the Dovetail Direct showcase.
Dovetail is telling people to expect the unexpected with one of the new features being random events and train faults to make sure that no two services feel the same. These can include signal delays and speed restrictions.
New routes will come with the game too, with NJ Transit covering the USA, with trains running through the New Jersey suburbs.
Moving to the UK and players can look forward to coastal running with the Riviera Line, and this marks a return to the Great Western Railway franchise.
European players can look forward to the Dresden to Leipzig route.
Deluxe Edition will bring bonus features such as the CrossCountry Voyager, ALP-45 and the BR 294 Shunter.
Another new feature is the full implementation of passenger and platform announcements, with station stops and departures featured in the three core routes.
Train Sim World 6 will launch on the 30th September 2025, whilst Deluxe and Special Edition players will get early access from the 25th September.
The pricing for the game will be £44.99 (Standard Edition), £64.99 (Deluxe Edition) and £104.99 (Special Edition)
Matt Peddlesden, Train Sim World 6’s Executive Producer: “We’ve been keen to listen to players in our recent surveys and feedback to give them the features and content they’ve been asking for. Random events and audible announcements have been at the top of their list for some time, and we can’t wait for players to experience them in new routes and trains that they’ve also been requesting.”
