On one of its all-electric trains, Lumo has unveiled a new design inspired by the new Smurfs movie.
The design was unveiled at a special event at London King’s Cross, with guests who starred in the film, such as Rylan, who plays Vanity Smurf.
Lumo have partnered with Paramount Pictures, who have produced the film, to see a carriage of VIP guests travel to Edinburgh for a Smurfs-themed day,
Over the years, the Smurfs have been promoting sustainability, which Lumo is very passionate about, having made its trains all-electric.
The train is now in regular service and can be seen travelling between London King’s Cross, Edinburgh, Newcastle and Stevenage.
“Everyone at Lumo is very excited to be working with Paramount Pictures to spread the word about the brilliant new Smurfs movie.
“The Smurfs are well known for promoting sustainability and we’re proud to be green at heart as a company too. That, coupled with their iconic blue colour, made this the perfect partnership. I’m delighted with our new ‘Smurfs train’ and can’t wait for everyone to enjoy spotting it along our route this summer.”
