New memorial plaques have been unveiled at Jo Cox’s home station of Batley.
One of the plaques features photographs of the former MP and has been installed on platform 1.
Cox’s sister, Kim Leadbeater, and parents Gordon and Jean were at the unveiling ceremony.
The original memorial, which was put up after she was killed in 2016, consisted of a banner and floral display; however, it has to be removed for the station redevelopment.

Jo Cox was passionate about the station and helped to set up Friends of Batley Station in 2015.
That same group has replaced the original memorial with something more permanent.
“Like Jo before me, I have worked closely with the Friends of Batley Station who do an amazing job helping to make the building an attractive and welcoming part of the community.
“On behalf of my family, I want to say a big thank you to FOBS and to Northern for this touching new tribute to my sister.”
