As part of their ongoing commitment to maintain and improve railway infrastructure, Network Rail (Wales and Borders) will begin a series of engineering works.

The engineering works, which will take place between the 2nd August and 11th August, will see drainage improved, track renewed, and other essential maintenance carried out to keep the railway running reliably.

This will cause some disruptions in the following areas:

  • Dynevor Junction to Morlais Junction
  • Jersey Marine to Hendy
  • Llangyfelach Tunnel and surrounding track sections
  • Penllergaer Tunnel to Grovesend

The work will allow the railway to be more resilient against extreme weather, keeping services running smoothly and reducing further delays.

Passengers should check before they travel to see which journeys are affected online.
