Overnight train operator Caledonian Sleeper has set up an online gift shop for the first time.
The shop sells branded, official Caledonian Sleeper merchandise, including stag keyrings, branded pens, re-usable travel cups, tartan dog collars and leads, a whisky glass gift set, and wash bags with Arran Sense of Scotland products.
The shop also sells posters inspired by vintage railway scenes, which feature six of the forty-plus destinations at which the Sleeper service stops.

Caledonian Sleeper is branding several of the gift products with its own unique tartan. The tartan represents the journey that the overnight train takes, with elements including:
- grey, representing the Granite City of Aberdeen
- pale blue for Inverness, which is known as ‘The Gate to the Water’ and Capital of the Highlands
- deep purple highlighting Edinburgh’s connections with royalty
- thin red and white lines representing the St George’s cross, to symbolise the final stop in London.
Tartan products include a blanket, a mug and a lambswool scarf.
Products for children available at the online shop include custom-designed plush locomotive and stag soft toys. Caledonian Sleeper will donate one pound from each soft toy sale during this year to the Railway Children charity, which the publicly-owned operator has also supported in the past.

To promote the launch of the shop, Caledonian Sleeper will surprise ten of its passsengers this week with a ‘golden ticket’ at their seat or in their room. The ten winners can redeem their ticket for a selection of branded gifts from the new range stocked by the shop.
“We’ve often been asked by guests for souvenirs which they can buy to remember their trip, or for a special gift to take home to their children or grandchildren, so we are delighted to be able to launch Caledonian Sleeper’s first-ever online gift shop. From mugs, prints and pens, to dog collars and cuddly toys, there’s a real mix of items available in our exclusive range and something for everyone – including our four-legged friends.
“To mark the occasion – and to add an extra touch of excitement – ten lucky guests travelling on the service on the night of 4th April will win a ‘golden ticket’. This ticket will entitle the holder to a package of taster items from the exclusive gift range. We look forward to seeing people showcasing their official Caledonian Sleeper merchandise either at home or while enjoying their travels.”
