The line between Broxton and Beckenham Junction is still planned to reopen on Monday 1st August. The work carried out at Penge Tunnel has progressed, but Network Rail engineers faced more challenges than expected.

Network Rail plan on returning to the site to complete some of the outstanding work which is expected to disturb some of the train services for a week.

Until Monday 8th August, a temporary speed restriction will be put in place, causing some alterations to some Southeastern services.

Network Rail are reminding passengers to check before travelling next week.
