I’ve often spoke of steams small Carbon footprint! You have to poke about in steams vast expulsion of its water vapour exhaust to find the bad bits in there! But reports from earth’s space orbiters detect vast leakage of gasses such as methane etc from fittings that could be repaired in the oil industry! One report spoke of Methane output of a million SUV large engine vehicles at full revs for 24 hours a day? And I have seen gas burn offs myself back in 1976 when the burn was likened to Concord standing on its nose with its engines pointing to the sky! Such pollution makes the Heritage steam engine appear as nothing more than a bathroom air freshener! And to this day of my visits to the Bight of Benin oil field’s I still wonder at where the hell does all this oil and gas comes from? And the order to drill deeper and faster for more of the stuff only comes from the eldest amongst us? Never to live long enough to see the birds fall from the skies! Carbon recovery will be a big thing in a hundred years? Oh, So sorry! You wont be about either will you? Lol.
