Well the East Lancashire Heritage Railway will be in a good position to pull the trams around Manchester at the metro system is guaged to BR standards so any of the small tank engines will be able to be used with ease. We still have plenty of coal under Lancashire and there is still a workable mine west of Manchester that now runs as a museum.

But they condemn our own fossil fuels, (on are own doorstep)! To import from others like Poland or Russia etc, etc, Before establishing the safe alternative! They would have us to run, before we can walk! For the vast majority of us to constantly fall over huge household heating bills?

Voyager, Refurbished of ‘Litchurch Lane’! And Looking good in recent pictures on here! (Voyager is an old seafaring term), To voyage! You see some mighty odd coupling methods this day? Like the super voyager of Derby! Wouldn’t fancy coupling that! Back in the day, I would go straight to the vacuum pipes! Seeing ‘low loader’ wagons on here recently, fondly reminds me of 65 yr ago when my engine would bellow through the forest of the ‘steepish’ incline to the southern coast, (at the western end of the Jurassic coast)!
