A couple of pictures, of what I suspect are very many taken today (14th February 2025), of Flying Scotsman on its journeys between Snow Hill and Stratford-upon-Avon with the Valentines Shakespeare Express.
This is the first return journey (1T51) just north of Henley-on-Arden. #feature

Thanks Elaine. It was probably the brightest day of the year so far, and no rain! I went to catch the outward trip, but it was running in reverse, so decided to hang around for the return trip. Glad that I did.

After a long day at The East Lancashire Railway Winter Diesel Day, we see 34067 at Ramsgreave + Wilpshire running 15 minutes early full of steam, so we thought it would be a wise idea to chase it further down to Cherry Tree, to get another wonderful performance. It’s not set in stone that it will use platform 6 as this can change dynamically depending on other train movements especially if any of them are running early or late, or even terminating short. As they are running the steam with a head code it should be displayed on the station’s arrivals and departure board.

This Saturday 31st it’ll be stopping at Preston Lancs to pick up passengers. I’m going there to see it. Any idea what platform it might use?
