Model Railway manufacturer Fourdees Ltd of Barnsley in South Yorkshire has released two new 009 scale models of the Talyllyn Railway’s No. 6 Douglas, exclusively for the Talyllyn Railway.
The model kits are designated as Era 1 and Era 4, with the Era 1 version representing No. 6 Douglas as it was in the 1950s, whilst the Era 4 kit is supplied with RAF decals to reflect the locomotive’s most recent condition.

Both kits cost £34.99 and are supplied with a static display chassis, but can be made to run by fitting a motorised chassis from a Bachmann N-scale model of Percy.
Further details of the models are available from the Talyllyn Railway shop or by clicking here.

In 2024, Douglas was on unfamiliar ground in Standard Gauge territory when it was on a static display at the Severn Valley Railway’s Engine House at Highley.
A mouse mat featuring No. 6 Douglas alongside No. 2 Dolgoch is available to purchase for £5.94 from RailAdvent.
