The Talyllyn Railway is celebrating International Women’s Day 2026 (Sunday, 8th March) and is inviting women to join the day.
Visitors have the opportunity to meet some of the volunteers who will be running an all-women crew train.
Demonstrations will be taking place, and it’s a great chance to learn about the spectacular skill sets these volunteers have.
The day will celebrate women across the railway and local community and highlight the importance of inclusion.
The special train is free of charge for women in the community and departs Tywyn Wharf at 11 am.
The free ticket must be booked online in advance of the day.
