Inspiration, the Railway 200 train is just finishing its visit to Darlington station.
The interactive train has many stops planned for its tour, including Blackpool North Station on the 4th – 7th November.
Northern is hosting the train, which takes visitors through key moments in railway history and the roles behind them. It also allows visitors to get hands-on with exhibits and learn about the organisations that support the railways.

The special four-carriage train is free; however, it must be booked online before arrival, which can be done via the Railway 200 website here.

“We can’t wait to host Inspiration at one of the busiest stations on the Northern network.
“I would encourage everyone to not miss this exciting opportunity to come on board at Blackpool North in November and learn more about 200 years of railway history.
“This unique travelling exhibition, packed with a range of entertaining and educational displays and information, is already proving to be incredibly popular as it makes its way across the UK. More than 200,000 people are expected to visit over the course of the year.
“We also hope Inspiration will inspire the next generation to consider a future career on the railway and help shape the next 200 years.”

Of all the stations to send it to Blackpool North is the worst choice, the rail staff have been so arrogant and unfriendly in my past experience, after last time I visited a few years ago I swore I would never set foot in the place again.
