British Transport Police are appealing for information to help locate the family of a man who died in Nottingham.

On the 14th of August, around 2:30 pm, officers attended reports of a casualty on the tracks around Wollaton.

Although paramedics were in attendance, the man was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene.

The man’s death is not being treated as suspicious, and a file has been created for the case.

The man who sadly lost his life has been identified as Javad Pierovy-Khah, aged 34.

He was born in Hamedan and arrived in the UK in 2005. He was of average build, 5ft 9 in tall and had short black hair. He was also wearing a blue hoodie.

Since his death, there have been enquiries to search for his next of kin or other family members; however, the attempts have been unsuccessful.

They hope that someone will have some information on the man or his family so that they can inform them of the news.

Those with information can contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 379 of 14 August.
