The Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways are offering a chance to win a footplate ride on the first train of the year.

David Lloyd George will be completing the first round trip on the 21st March on the 10:40 am Mountain Spirit service.

Those who purchase a ticket for the first service before 16th March will be automatically entered into the draw.

Its an exciting chance to experience the railway from a different perspective and see everything that goes on during the journey.

The winner will be selected and contacted to arrange the footplate pass.

Those entering must be 16 or over and physically fit to safely move on and off the locomotive.

The winner must comply with the footplate pass declaration and be free from influences such as alcohol.
