The Statfold Country Park has announced the Last-Assic Special Driver Experience, set to take place on 26 April 2026, offering enthusiasts what may be the final opportunity to drive the historic narrow gauge locomotive, Liassic.
With no overhaul currently planned for Liassic, the event is expected to mark a rare, and potentially final, chance for participants to take control of the engine.
This special event forms part of a Small Engine Gala, celebrating a lineup of iconic locomotives, including Minas De Aller Corpet, Sybil Mary, and Marchlyn, alongside Liassic as the headline attraction.

A limited number of exclusive driver experience tickets will be made available, with high demand anticipated. Organisers have confirmed that once these tickets are sold out, no additional places will be released.
The gala will also coincide with Drive It Day: Classic Vehicle Show, enhancing the visitor experience with a display of more than 100 classic cars and vehicles showcased in a dedicated showground.
