Bodmin Railway have released an important update on its Diesel Day, set to take place Saturday, 28 March 2026.
During pre-event testing, an electrical fault on its Class 47 locomotive was detected. For safety reasons, it will be pulled from service for this Diesel Day.
This means the railway will not be hosting the event this March, but do hope the electrical fault will be solved and the loco will be in working order for future service at Diesel Days.
Bodmin Railway’s steam train services are still expected to continue as usual on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.
