The Exmoor National Park Centre in Lynmouth will host a free exhibition on the history of the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway from 6th April to 21st May.

The exhibition will feature volunteers and a selection of special artefacts from the original railway, offering visitors the chance to explore the story of the region’s iconic steam trains.

Visitors can view the full set of interpretation boards created for last year’s Railway 200 event, which are normally displayed across Woody Bay, Blackmoor, and Chelfham.

As part of the programme, a special talk will be held on 9 April at 2 pm, focusing on the workings of the railway and ongoing restoration efforts.

Volunteers will be available to answer questions and provide insight into all aspects of the railway. Entry to both the exhibition and the talk is free.
