Ffestiniog Railway has announced that its Carriage 2010 has emerged from a major refurbishment, looking refreshed and ready for the season ahead. The work was completed at the renowned Boston Lodge Works, where a dedicated team of staff and volunteers combined expertise and enthusiasm to deliver impressive results.

Every aspect of the carriage has been carefully improved, with attention given to both appearance and functionality. The upgrades ensure a more comfortable and welcoming space for passengers, particularly those enjoying refreshments while travelling through the railway’s scenic routes.

The project highlights a continued commitment to preserving and enhancing historic rolling stock, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern-day expectations. It also underlines the important role volunteers play in keeping heritage railways operating at a high standard.

Now complete, Carriage 2010 is set to return to service in time for the start of the new season, ready to once again serve passengers.
