Services between Birmingham New Street and Wolverhampton are disrupted today due to damaged overhead wires.

Due to the damage at Birmingham, trains between the two stations could be cancelled, delayed by over an hour, or diverted.

This is set to be an issue until at least 12 pm today.

Avanti services may divert and not call at Birmingham New Street. If services are cancelled, tickets will be accepted on services before and after the one booked, or on CrossCountry and West Midlands Railway services.

Those travelling via CrossCountry will be able to utilise West Midlands Metro services and Grand Central services. Customers can also use services before and after a cancelled service.

This also applies to  London Northwestern Railway, West Midlands Railway, and Transport for Wales customers, with some variations on acceptance.

Replacement transport has been requested and, if available, will show online.

See how journeys may be affected and alternative services online.
