The Northampton & Lamport Railway (NLR) is celebrating its last 30 years of operation.
The line continues to grow thanks to the commitment of its volunteers who have been rebuilding for many years.
The railway began in 1983, with preservationists rebuilding the line for public use in 1995. This was followed by an official opening in 1996.

Since then, volunteers have been hard at work, seeing 2 miles of track and two stations rebuilt.
They plan to mark the milestone throughout the year, with the main event being their ‘NLR30 Gala’ in August.
