It’s Day 10 of our 12 Days of Christmas, where we look back at some stats and highlights of 2025, as we prepare for another busy year.

We have been busy in the last year publishing railtour timings for everyone to see.

What were the most popular tour(s)?

With so many tours running throughout the year, it can be difficult to track what is running when. However, taking top spot for views this year was the range of English Riviera Express trains that were operated by Locomotive Services Group and Saphos Trains.

This year, 5029 Nunney Castle operated most of these trains and was based at the West Somerset Railway, where it would take over from diesel locomotives at Taunton.

Did you manage to see any of these tours? Share them with our community on LocoStop here.

Did you know that it’s not only news we cover, but we also cover mainline tours, ECS movements, train sim reviews, and we also have a community where you can share your photos of your own adventures.

Did you know that RailAdvent Plus Gold members can access 80+ hours of gala footage from across the UK, with a range of traction from narrow gauge steam to East Coast Throughbreds in the Deltics. There really is something for everyone.

The library continues to grow, and if you are bored with Christmas TV already, you can sign up today and instantly get access to the library by clicking here.

In today’s video, which you may have missed, we head to Derby and see the press launch of The Greatest Gathering.
