The North Yorkshire Moors Railway has delayed the start of services set to be hauled by 60163 Tornado.
It was planned that the A1 would haul services on the 15th, 16th and 17th August, however, with dry weather and fires elsewhere in the county, the railway has postponed these service.
All current Tornado services are under review and a revised start date will be announced when temperatures have cooled down.
An NYMR spokesperson said “We are reviewing all current “Tornado” services and hope to have an update on the revised start date once temperatures have cooled down. The NYMR is doing everything it can to fully cooperate with and support the emergency services, taking every precaution to ensure the safety of our staff, volunteers and passengers, which is always our priority.”
