To celebrate Railway 200 and the history and heritage of Wales, Transport for Wales will be hosting a range of activities and events.
Partnered with industry professionals, academia, communities and museums, Transport for Wales will be hosting the events across Wales throughout the year to highlight railway history and future.
During this time, they will be hosting an event with Crewe Engineering and Design UTC on the 16th October. The themes of Railway 200, including sustainability and technology, will be reflected throughout the event.
This event will be hosted at the college and will feature an exhibition hall with stands from a range of people set to inspire people to consider a career on the railway.
The college already works with young people to ensure they are ‘industry-ready’. Partner schools can still register for this event, with further information available through contacting [email protected].
“This event, held in the historically important town of Crewe, really showcases the future talent of our borders area and the opportunities for innovative future thinking for industry. Working in partnership is fundamental to delivering shared success within our communities and across the network”.
Dr Louise Moon, Transport for Wales’ Railway 200 Programme Lead
