£5,000 has been raised for charity thanks to the London North Eastern Railway (LNER) station team at Retford.
The team carried out a sponsored walk in memory of a colleague who died from cancer and will be donating the money to Macmillan Cancer Support.
Kevin White, who previously worked at Newark Northgate for over 10 years, joined the LNER team at Retford in 2021.
He developed lifelong friendships with his colleagues and unfortunately passed away earlier this year.

Both Kevin and his family received support from Macmillan, and to help the charity continue its work, the station team decided to take on a challenge to raise money.
A group of over 20 people, including the Retford station team, other station teams, and friends and family of Kevin, embarked on a 20-mile journey from Doncaster to Retford station.
Through this challenge, they continue to raise money thanks to generous donations.
“Kevin was a dear friend of us all at Retford station, and we are still coming to terms with the devastating loss that we have encountered. When he was ill, he received great care from the Macmillan team and we wanted to do something, in his memory, to give back.
“Kevin was a railway man, and we thought it only fitting to walk between two LNER stations, starting in
