ScotRail is supporting Robbie Williams concert goers who are heading to Murrayfield on the 31st May.

To meet the thousands of attendees requirements, ScotRail has added extra carriages to its services where possible. This will be for routes in and out of Edinburgh Waverley and will see extra late night services that will run from Edinburgh to Glasgow, Dundee, Dunblane and Perth.

While the concert begins around 6 pm, the gates at Murrayfield will be open from 4 pm, so trains will be busy throughout, especially closer to 6 pm.

ScotRail has advised that people get to the Murrayfield area sooner rather than later to help beat the crowds.

Concert goers will also be using Haymarket Station, so it will be busier in the afternoon, leading into the evening.

When the concert is over, if able to, attendees should walk to Haymarket station and join the holding area, where they will be directed into the appropriate queue.

To reduce ticket queues, passengers are advised to purchase return tickets via the ScotRail app in advance. There will also be extra staff on stations to assist customers where needed.

ScotRail reminds passengers of the restrictions that will be in place around consuming and carrying alcohol on their trains and platforms.

Further information on travelling for this event can be found on the ScotRail website.

“Everyone at ScotRail is really looking forward to helping people travel to Scottish Gas Murrayfield to see Robbie Williams perform, and we’re thrilled to be able to add more seats and extra late-night trains to help fans enjoy the occasion.

“I’d encourage customers to travel to the stadium early as trains will be much busier than normal. Our advice to anyone travelling is to plan ahead and allow extra time for travel to and from the concert.

“Buying return tickets in advance on the ScotRail app will minimise your need to queue and help your day run smoothly.”

Phil Campbell, ScotRail Customer Operations Director
