Man with firearm shot dead at Buckinghamshire railway station by police

Thames Valley Police have released a statement following an incident at Milton Keynes railway station.

Officers from TVP and the British Transport Police were called to the railway station earlier today (1st April) after reports came in of a man carrying a firearm at the station.

Armed police attended and challenged the man, before shots were fired by police.

Life-saving actions were taken at the scene, but the man was pronounced dead at 1.44 pm

The police say that it is not believed to be any further risk to the public,c and more information will be provided soon.
