The Bala Lake Railway Trust has launched a new £300,000 track appeal, aimed at getting the line into Bala Town itself.

The railway currently runs from Llanuwchllyn to Pen-y-Bont station, but now has permission and a track bed to run to Bala Town.

This next stage of the project will see physical progress on the ground.

£15 will buy clips and screws, £50 will buy a sleeper and fixings and £2000 will sponsor a complete track panel.

For each donation of £2000 or more, the sponsor will receive a certificate and an allocated track panel on our map detailing the sponsors. This will be displayed at the railway station so that people can show friends and family.
