Following 78018’s completion from restoration at GCR, by Loughborough Standard Locomotive Group, in August 2016, 78018 several weeks at Nene Valley over the winter period.

This is now to be repeated, with 78018 returning to work trains for NVR between mid-October to mid-January.

This time, 78018 will work along side NVR’s Bulleid light pacific 34081. The locomotive will be pulling Santa Special and also being available for Driver Experience courses.

78018 is the last visiting locomotive to NVR for 2017, after a busy year which has seen 34053 ‘Sir Keith Park’, 60163 ‘Tornado’, 46100 ‘Royal Scot’, GWR 0-4-2 1450

Also, not forgetting 60009 ‘Union of South Africa’ which is due to arrive in a few weeks time, to star in ‘Pacifics’ over the weekend of the 16th and 17th of September.
